Job summary

Cinterra is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee on-site electrical and mechanical installation from Notice-to-Proceed through Commercial Operation Date on utility-scale solar projects. The role requires strong leadership to manage field teams, subcontractors, and safety programs while ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in construction with 2+ years in utility-scale solar in a site manager/superintendent or equivalent role.
• Proven experience in field operations management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret contracts, specifications, and construction drawings (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, SCADA). Familiarity with codes is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction means and methods for utility-scale solar and substations.
• Sound knowledge of field operations planning, logistics, and resource management.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements in the relevant industry.
• Good computer skills and proficiency in industry-standard software for field operations management.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in dynamic field environments.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work outside regular hours.
• OSHA 10 Certification (minimum).

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site construction of electrical and mechanical activities from NTP to COD.
• Act as the on-site representative and primary point-of-contact for subcontractors, consultants, and third parties.
• Develop and implement field operations strategies, plans, and procedures to meet goals.
• Define performance metrics, KPIs, and targets for field operations.
• Monitor and improve field operations through regular analysis and changes.
• Coordinate with safety, quality, logistics, and site management teams.
• Lead, mentor, and develop underground MV/DC and mechanical field teams.
• Audit MV field activities for compliance with policies and standards.
• Report issues to Site Manager and Project Manager and support corrective actions.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, and regulators.
