Job summary

Fortress/ Cinterra is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee on-site electrical and mechanical construction activities from Notice-to-Proceed to COD. You will lead field teams, coordinate with PM and Site Manager, and ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance.

You will develop field operation plans, define KPIs, analyze performance, and manage subcontractors and third parties on-site. The role requires 8+ years in construction including utility-scale solar, strong leadership,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in construction, with 2+ years minimum in utility scale solar in a site manager/superintendent or equivalent role.
• Proven experience in field operations management or a similar role.
• Familiarity with contracts, reading specifications, technical reports and construction drawings (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and SCADA).
• Familiarity with building and electrical codes is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction means and methods for utility scale solar and substation installations.
• Sound knowledge of field operations planning, logistics, and resource management.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements in the industry.
• Good computer skills including proficiency in industry standard software programs and technology for field operations management.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work outside regular hours.
• Possess a valid US driver's license.
• OSHA 10 Certification (minimum).

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site construction of MV/DC and Mechanical activities from NTP to COD.
• Lead field teams including Superintendent, Foreman, Operators and Labor/Apprentices.
• Develop and implement field operations strategies, plans, and procedures.
• Monitor field operations performance against KPIs and implement improvements.
• Ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance on site.
• Coordinate with Site Manager and Project Manager and support Site Manager.
