Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director for Cloud Platform Engineering within Digital Engineering. You will own multiple platform teams, set AWS strategy, advance DevOps maturity, and build self-service tooling to accelerate product delivery across the portfolio.

This strategic leadership role requires deep cloud expertise, executive communication, and the ability to balance velocity with compliance in a regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering.
• 7+ years of experience leading engineering teams, managers, and technical portfolios.
• 5+ years of hands‑on AWS at enterprise scale — compute, networking, IAM, and managed data/messaging services (MSK, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch); serverless (Lambda, Fargate)

Responsibilities

• Set cloud platform strategy and multi-year AWS roadmap.
• Own AWS security architecture and governance, encryption, and IAM boundaries.
• Lead AI adoption across the platform and tooling.
• Drive CI/CD standards and Infrastructure-as-Code adoption.
• Run cloud cost as a managed portfolio with optimization targets.
• Own observability, SLOs, incident management, and capacity planning.
• Lead multiple engineering teams and coaching of leaders.
• Represent platform to senior stakeholders and evaluate new tech.
