CVS Health Corporation is seeking a senior software engineering leader to drive technical strategy for a multi-team organization (50-150+ engineers) across distributed systems and cloud-native architectures. The role focuses on production AI platforms, LLM orchestration, and scalable backend design.

You will own delivery at velocity, partner with executives across Product, Data, and Health care, and advocate for the right AI investments while shaping architectural excellence and debt management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading large-scale engineering organizations.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Proven ownership of AI platforms and production AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical strategy across a multi-team engineering organization (50-150+ engineers).
• Embed LLMs, generative AI, agentic workflows, and ML-powered automation into the engineering lifecycle.
• Own delivery at velocity and be accountable for outcomes.
• Partner with Product owners, Data Engineers, and health care business leaders to translate business strategy into engineering bets.
• Be the technical voice in the room, calling out debt and advocating for the right engineering investments.
