Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Lead Civil Structural Engineer in Fort Worth to design mat and pier foundations for substation structures and to develop various substation components. You will apply codes and client standards, produce layouts, bus arrangements, and BOMs while maintaining cost efficiency and quality.

The role involves designing and detailing structures from equipment supports to towers, mentoring staff, and coordinating with other disciplines across projects.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in civil engineering (B.S. or M.S.).
• PE license and 6+ years in civil structural calculations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation helpful.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed civil structural designs for substations.
• Design foundations and steel structures using industry tools.
• QA/QC processes and client coordination meetings.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with other disciplines.
