Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer to design and detail mat and pier foundations for substations and to develop substation structures ranging from equipment supports to towers. The role requires applying codes and client standards, with emphasis on quality and cost control.

Responsibilities include developing conceptual plans, client communication, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with other engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
• 4+ years of civil structural engineering calculations experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and MicroStation; able to identify needed software.

Responsibilities

• Develop overall conceptual design plans in the initial development phase of new projects.
• Design foundations using software such as LPILE and develop steel structure models.
• Perform QA/QC processes and coordinate with other disciplines.
