_shape the future of energy infrastructure at the American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon, Ohio. Centrus Energy seeks a Civil/Structural Design Engineer to lead engineering development, analysis, and execution of facility modifications in a safety-critical environment.

You will ensure structural components meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards from design through turnover, collaborating with multiple disciplines and supporting field execution in a high-stakes setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 5+ years of experience in structural design, analysis, and field support, preferably in regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of AISC, ACI, and seismic/building codes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Civil/Structural design and analysis for site modifications, including static/dynamic loads (wind, seismic, vibration, thermal).
• Develop, review, and redline design packages for foundations, structural steel, and equipment anchorage.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and I&C teams for loads, penetrations, and layouts.
• Support field construction through walkdowns, RFIs/RFCs, and as-built updates with strict configuration control and safety rules.
• Develop procurement packages (ROMs, SOWs) for subcontracted fabrication and installation.
