Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. in Piketon, Ohio, seeks an experienced Civil/Structural Design Engineer to lead the engineering development, analysis, and execution of facility modifications in a safety-critical environment.

You will bridge design concepts and field execution, ensuring structural steel, concrete systems, foundations, and equipment supports meet quality and regulatory standards from design to turnover. A Q clearance is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of structural design, analysis and field support experience.
• Strong knowledge of AISC, ACI and applicable seismic/building codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/structural design and analysis for site modifications, including wind, seismic, vibration and thermal effects.
• Develop and review design packages for foundations, steel, and equipment anchorage with buildability focus.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical and I&C teams for load integrations and layouts.
• Support construction with field walkdowns, RFIs/RFCs and as-built updates, ensuring safety and configuration control.
• Create procurement packages (ROMs/SOWs) for subcontracted fabrication and installation.
