Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. in Piketon, Ohio, is seeking a Civil/Structural Design Engineer to lead engineering development, analysis, and execution of facility modifications in a safety-critical environment.

You will ensure structural steel, concrete foundations, and equipment supports meet high standards from design through turnover. You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and I&C teams, produce design packages, and support field activities, RFIs, and qualification processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 5+ years in structural design, analysis, and field support in regulated/industrial or nuclear environments.
• Strong knowledge of AISC, ACI, and seismic/building codes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/structural design and analysis for site modifications (static, dynamic loads, wind, seismic, vibration, thermal effects).
• Develop, review and redline design packages for foundations, structural steel, and equipment anchorage.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and I&C teams for integrated design.
• Support construction through field walkdowns, RFIs/RFCs, and as-built updates; ensure configuration control and safety compliance.
• Prepare procurement packages for subcontracted fabrication and installation; support technical bid evaluations.
