Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Design Engineer to lead engineering development, analysis, and execution of facility modifications at the Piketon, OH site.

You will ensure structural systems meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards from design through turnover. Responsibilities include leading design and analysis for foundations, structural steel, and equipment anchorage; coordinating with multidisciplinary teams; supporting field execution and procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 5+ years of experience in structural design, analysis, and field support.
• Strong working knowledge of AISC, ACI, and applicable seismic/building codes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/structural design for site modifications, performing analyses for static/dynamic loads (wind, seismic, vibration, thermal).
• Develop, review, and redline design packages for foundations, structural steel, and equipment anchorage.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and I&C teams for loads, penetrations, and layout constraints.
• Support construction through field walkdowns, RFIs/RFCs, and as-built updates with strict configuration control and safety compliance.
• Create procurement packages (ROMs, SOWs) for subcontracted fabrication and installation.
