Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead complex projects up to $15 million in size in the Long Beach area. You will direct overall project execution, ensuring profitability, safety, and schedule adherence.

The role requires a BS degree in a related field and 3–5 years of heavy civil experience, including paving and grading. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for coordinating diverse teams.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction.
• Three to five years progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
• Minimum of five years experience in paving, dirt, and grading in either private or public environments.

Responsibilities

• Forecast project revenue and costs to meet profitability goals.
• Coordinate with estimators and project controls to establish budget.
• Lead estimating efforts on vertically integrated projects to ensure accurate bid-to-build process.
• Coordinate with estimators, sponsors, and managers to manage resources and meet schedule.
• Participate in bid reviews and feasibility, and develop bid schedules with the estimating team.
• Develop comprehensive startup plans and successful project kick-offs.
• Maintain oversight to ensure profitable, safe execution and proper reporting.
• Establish relationships with owners, agencies, and subcontractors to foster long-term partnerships.
