Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive data-driven CI, engineering, and automation across operations in Washington, DC.

You will identify gaps, lead high-impact projects, coach teams, and deliver measurable safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements. In this role, you will leverage Lean tools, data analytics, and engineering methods to optimize distribution and transportation processes, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve sustained

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain; seven+ years in warehousing/transportation or manufacturing.
• 7+ years of related work experience in warehousing, transportation and/or manufacturing.
• Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio; Expert.
• Data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau) and SQL/DAX: Intermediate, preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma: Required.
• Knowledge of WMS and warehouse automation; advanced/preferred.
• Certifications such as cPMP, ISO/QMS, APICS or similar are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; identifies process gaps and implements improvements.
• Leads high-impact CI projects across the operation for safety, quality, delivery, cost.
• Coaches teams in CI, QA, and Lean principles; applies PDCA and Kaizen events.
• Facilitates value stream maps and cross-functional project work to sustain results.
• Reports progress and makes supply chain strategy recommendations.
• May supervise CI engineers and QA professionals.
