Läderach in Potomac, MD is seeking a Deputy Manager to support the Store Manager and Regional Manager. You will supervise staff, ensure outstanding customer service, and help drive sales targets in a fast-paced chocolate retail environment.

The role emphasizes training, shift scheduling, accurate merchandising, and adherence to food safety standards. Flexible availability and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• At least one year of retail experience with growing responsibility.
• Strong leadership, staff management and customer service skills.
• Reliable with a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency with computer tools (email, Microsoft 365, data entry, spreadsheets, POS).
• Attention to detail and proactive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-store customer experience and motivate staff to deliver top-notch service.
• Oversee product sales, register duties, shop and shelf care, packaging and order fulfillment.
• Ensure accurate product merchandising and compliance with food safety protocols.
• Schedule staff shifts and coordinate store meetings/events.
• Assist Store Manager with merchandising accuracy and inventory orders.
• Support loss prevention standards and communicate corporate values to customers and employees.
• Act as store lead in the absence of the Store Manager.
