Job summary

Läderach seeks a Deputy Manager to support Store Manager in leading a busy retail chocolate shop in Skokie. You will supervise staff, deliver excellent customer service, train associates, and help meet sales and merchandising goals.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in retail with increasing responsibility, strong leadership, reliable schedule, and proficiency with Microsoft 365, POS systems, and data entry. Passion for chocolate is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail experience with increasing responsibility.
• Strong leadership, staff management and customer service skills.
• Reliable with a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, email, data entry, spreadsheets, and POS.
• Keen attention to detail; proactive and efficient.
• Passionate about chocolate.

Responsibilities

• Lead outstanding in-store customer experience and motivate staff.
• Oversee product sales, register duties, shop and shelf care.
• Ensure accurate product merchandising and food safety.
• Schedule staff shifts and coordinate store meetings.
• Manage store merchandising accuracy and inventory orders.
• Maintain in-store compliance and loss prevention.
• Communicate corporate values to customers and employees.
• Act as Store Manager in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Handle other role-related responsibilities as assigned.
