Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a CEI Inspector for Bulloch County, GA. The role involves performing field inspections of roadway and bridge construction to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and standards.

You will verify materials, measurements, and workmanship while maintaining detailed site records and supporting project engineers. The position requires 1.5–3 years of inspection experience, valid driver’s license, and GDOT certifications; responsibilities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1.5–3 years of transportation inspection experience with a State Highway Agency or consulting firm.
• Experience inspecting roadways, bridges, transportation, or heavy civil construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Obtain required certifications and pass tests within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge work to ensure compliance with plans and standards.
• Inspect asphalt and concrete materials, pavement placement, compaction, alignment, and quality.
• Inspect structural components and operations including foundations, excavation, piling, reinforcing steel, and concrete placement.
• Monitor traffic control devices and erosion and sediment control measures.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate contract documentation and project records.
• Supervise or direct inspectors as assigned.
• Participate in project meetings and field plan reviews.
