Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a CEI Inspector to perform construction engineering and inspection on roadway, bridge, and transportation projects in Georgia. The role emphasizes field inspections, material verification, and maintaining project records to support engineers throughout construction.

The position requires reading and interpreting plans and specifications, knowledge of highway construction practices, and the ability to obtain required GDOT certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18–36 months of transportation inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, and contracts.
• Ability to obtain GDOT certifications within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge work to ensure compliance.
• Inspect asphalt and concrete materials, pavement placement, and compaction.
• Monitor traffic control devices and erosion control measures.
• Document project records and prepare inspection reports.
• Assist with project meetings and field plan reviews.
• Operate a vehicle and conduct inspections across the project area.
