Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a CEI Inspector to perform construction engineering inspections for roadway and bridge projects in Georgia. You will conduct field inspections, verify materials, maintain documentation, and support project engineers throughout the construction process.

The role requires reading and interpreting plans and specifications, inspecting various construction elements, and ensuring adherence to contract requirements. Local travel within Georgia is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• 18–36 months of progressive transportation technician or inspection experience.
• Ability to read/interpret construction plans, specs, and contracts.
• Knowledge of highway construction materials, methods, equipment, and inspection procedures.
• Certifications such as GDOT WECS and Field Concrete Technician or the ability to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and standards.
• Inspect asphalt and concrete materials, pavement placement, compaction, alignment, and quality.
• Inspect structural components and operations including foundations, excavation, reinforcement, and concrete placement.
• Monitor traffic control devices and erosion control measures.
• Prepare reports and maintain inspection records.
