Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a CEI Inspector for Bulloch County, GA, to conduct independent inspections of roadway and bridge construction and ensure compliance with contract plans and GDOT standards.

You will review plans, specifications, and project documentation, prepare reports, and assist with project management duties across resurfacing, safety improvements, and bridge rehab initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18–36 months of transportation technician or construction inspection experience with a State Highway Agency or consulting firm.
• Experience inspecting roadways, bridges, or heavy civil projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, and contracts.
• Knowledge of highway construction materials, methods, equipment, and inspection procedures.
• Pass GDOT qualification tests Group 1 and Group 2.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge construction to ensure compliance with plans and standards.
• Inspect asphalt and concrete materials, pavement placement, compaction, alignment, and quality.
• Inspect structural components and operations including foundations, piling, reinforcement, and concrete placement.
• Monitor and inspect traffic control devices and erosion control measures.
• Conduct field measurements and calculations for pay quantities and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare reports and document project activities and findings.
• Supervise or direct inspectors as assigned.
• Participate in project meetings and plan reviews.
• Assist with construction management duties on resurfacing, safety improvements, and bridge rehab projects.
