Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a CEI Inspector for Bulloch County, GA to perform roadway and bridge inspections, verify materials, and support project engineers throughout construction.

The role requires reading plans, knowledge of GDOT standards, field measurements, and thorough documentation. A valid Georgia driver’s license is required, and certifications listed by GDOT are an asset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1.5–3 years of transportation inspection experience with a State Highway Agency or consultant.
• Experience inspecting roadways, bridges, or heavy civil projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle in Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, contract requirements, and standards.
• Inspect asphalt and concrete materials, pavement placement, compaction, alignment, depth, and overall construction quality.
• Inspect structural components including foundations, excavation, piling, reinforcing steel, and concrete placement.
• Monitor traffic control devices and erosion/sediment control measures.
• Prepare reports and maintain inspection records with project activities and findings.
• Coordinate with project teams and contractors as required.
