Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a CEI Inspector for Bulloch County with experience in roadway, bridge, and transportation projects. The role requires inspecting materials, compliance with plans, and maintaining thorough project documentation in field conditions.

The position involves evaluating asphalt/concrete, heavy civil components, and erosion control, with coordination across project teams and stakeholders. GDOT certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18 months to 3 years of transportation inspection experience.
• Experience inspecting roadways, bridges, or heavy civil projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Valid driver''s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• GDOT certifications and math proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge construction to ensure compliance with plans and standards.
• Inspect asphalt and concrete materials, pavement placement, compaction, alignment, depth, and quality.
• Inspect structural components including foundations, piling, reinforcing steel, and concrete placement.
• Monitor and inspect traffic control devices and erosion control measures.
• Prepare reports and maintain inspection records; document project activities.
• Supervise inspectors performing routine inspection activities as assigned.
• Participate in project meetings and field plan reviews.
