Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise a team of cashiers and assist with store operations. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining register efficiency.

You will schedule and oversee cashier activities, assist with customer issues at the register, and support hiring and training of staff in a fast-paced environment. This position requires leadership and strong math skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front end equipment: register, calculator, scanner; strong math skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Proactively visit registers to provide direction and support to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Assist with customer assistance issues at the register.
• Schedule store sweeps and monitor cash register supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness standards in restrooms and parking lots.
• Assist in hiring and training new Cashiers; handle disciplinary actions as needed.
