Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise a team of cashiers and support overall front-end operations. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, leadership, and efficient register management in a fast-paced grocery environment.

The Head Cashier will guide cashiers and courtesy clerks, assist with hiring/training, and ensure breaks and safety standards are followed. A strong focus on accuracy and service is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus 1–2 years of cashiering experience.
• Reliable, with flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment; register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong math and cash-handling skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with daily operations.
• Provide direction and support to cashiers and courtesy clerks at registers.
• Schedule and oversee proper execution of breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist with customer issues at the register and help resolve concerns.
• Help in hiring and training new cashiers; support disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain visibility and cleanliness of front-end areas and related spaces.
