Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market seeks a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced register team, ensure excellent customer service, and support store operations. You will supervise cashiers, assist with training, and help manage cash-handling tasks while maintaining high standards of friendliness and efficiency.

The role requires 18+, a HS diploma or GED, and 1–2 years cashiering with leadership training. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and ability to be a role model for customers.
• Strong numeracy and cash-handling skills; able to count and balance.
• Ability to operate front end equipment (register, calculator, scanner).

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with store operations.
• Proactively visit registers and provide direction and support to cashiers and courtesy clerks.
• Handle customer assistance issues at the register.
• Schedule and oversee breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and take disciplinary actions when needed.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and drive excellent customer service.
