You will supervise cashiers, assist with training and scheduling, ensure accuracy at the register, and uphold store standards with a proactive, hands-on approach. This role offers opportunities for advancement within a community-focused grocer that prizes teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and ability to interact with customers as a role model.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment, register, calculator, scanner with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Proactively visit registers to ensure excellent customer service and provide direction to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Assign store sweeps, monitor cash register supplies, and maintain cleanliness in restrooms and parking areas.
• Maintain security by monitoring exit doors and assist with loss prevention as needed.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new Cashiers and address disciplinary actions as necessary.
