Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of cashiering experience plus leadership training.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and the ability to model positive customer service behaviors.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment: cash register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team and take direction.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, multi-task, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs and maneuver carts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with store operations.
• Provide direction and support to cashiers and Courtesy Clerks at registers.
• Assist customers with questions and issues at the register.
• Schedule store sweeps, monitor cash register supply levels, and maintain restroom/parking lot cleanliness.
• Maintain exit door security visibility for loss prevention.
• Schedule breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training of new cashiers and handle disciplinary actions as needed.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
