Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced front-end team and deliver outstanding customer service. You will supervise cashiers, assist with store operations, and ensure smooth daily activities at the register.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old; possess a high school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes; including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior, a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers as a role model.
• Ability to operate front end equipment; register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication skills; take direction/constructive criticism and work in a team.
• Ability to perform repetitious activities, multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and maneuver carts as required.

Responsibilities

• supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Ensure excellent customer service by proactively visiting registers and directing cashiers and clerks.
• Assist with customer assistance issues at the register.
• Assign store sweeps, monitor cash register supplies and maintain cleanliness in restrooms and parking lots.
• Monitor exit doors for security and loss prevention.
• Schedule and oversee breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and disciplinary actions.
