Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camps. You will oversee all daily culinary operations, staff management, budgeting, and allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

This on-site, live-in position runs May through September, with a minimum 6‑day/70-hour week. We offer competitive seasonal pay, a performance bonus, free room and board, and travel allowance, supporting vibrant, nutrition‑focused camp communities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking.
• ServSafe Manager Certified (ServSafe Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored).
• Strong leadership, budgeting capability, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to live on-site in a rustic setting, 6-day/70-hour week.
• Manage allergen safety and sanitation per Health Department standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee daily culinary operations, portion control, menu specs, and timely service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols and maintain sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, place food orders, control budgets, and track daily reporting.
• Serve as the main liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership, and Wolfoods corporate office.
