Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant Kitchen Manager for a seasonal, on-site role at rural summer camp facilities across the US. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day part, manage staff, maintain allergen safety, and ensure compliance in a fast-paced high-volume kitchen.

This live-in, six-day workweek with 70 hours per week is a demanding but rewarding opportunity. Competitive pay with bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Willing to live on-site in rustic setting and work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume camp kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Manage flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, timely service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Enforce allergy protocols and sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Liaise between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
