Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp. This on-site, live-in position leads prep, production, and allergen safety for designated day parts, while managing staff in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

Expect a seasonal contract (May–Sept), 6-day weeks (70+ hours), and opportunities for growth. Competitive pay, bonus, room & board, and travel allowances are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date (company-sponsored).
• Strong leadership, scratch baking skills, and adaptability with ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols and maintain Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting; liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
• Support camp operations and ensure client relations through effective kitchen service.
