Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced camp kitchen. You will oversee prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and enforce strict allergen safety protocols in a high-volume camp environment.

The position is on-site at rural summer camp facilities across the US, with live-in housing, competitive seasonal pay, and a bonus structure.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Able to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to live on-site in rustic setting and work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee culinary flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen safety compliance and top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
