Job summary

Wolfoods Food Services seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp. You will oversee all prep and production for a designated day part, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume setting on-site.

The position requires leadership experience, scratch baking skills, and the ability to live on-site for a demanding 6-day/70-hour week, May through September. Competitive pay, bonus, and full room & board are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day part; ensure scratch cooking and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and maintain sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
