Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems at the assigned facility. The role may involve supervising maintenance staff, performing preventive maintenance, coordinating with contractors, and reporting building performance.

Strong knowledge of HVAC, pumps and energy management is valued. On-site work with potential shifts and on-call duties; adherence to safety training and company policies

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related trade experience operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in a commercial property.
• Appropriate license/permit for trade (Journeyman or Master Electrician, etc.).
• EPA Section 608 Universal certification for refrigerants.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.
• Experience with HVAC, boilers, pumps, refrigerant systems and water systems.
• Knowledge of energy management systems and building operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations and maintenance of building MEP systems.
• Supervise maintenance staff when applicable and monitor activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance such as changing filters, lubricating motors, replacing lamps, belts and fixtures, inspecting and adjusting components.
• Coordinate maintenance with outside contractors and technicians.
• Compile monthly reports and keep management informed of building operations.
• Respond to emergencies and customer concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety regulations and dress code.
