Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer in Dallas to ensure efficient operations and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for the assigned facility. This role may be the sole engineer on-site and may supervise maintenance staff depending on building size.

Key duties include operating and maintaining MEP systems, performing preventive maintenance, coordinating with contractors, and compiling monthly operation reports while adhering to safety and company

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related trade experience in operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required (Journeyman or Master Electrician, City Licenses, Operators License, Steam Engineers License, etc.).
• Universal EPA Section 608 certification for refrigerants to service, repair or dispose of equipment that could release ozone depleting refrigerants.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record with periodic checks.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for the buildings.
• Supervise maintenance staff when applicable and assign/monitor activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance: change filters, lubricate motors, replace lamps/ballasts/fixtures, inspect belts and bearings.
• Develop and maintain building-specific maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate maintenance with outside contractors and technicians.
• Maintain stock and inventory control.
• Respond to emergencies and customer concerns.
• Comply with codes, safety rules and dress code; submit monthly reports.
