Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of MEP systems at the assigned facility. The role may involve supervising maintenance staff and coordinating with contractors, with a focus on reliability and safety.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or GED, with apprenticeship or trade school preferred and relevant licenses. Expect responsibilities across preventive maintenance and building operations in a dynamic property

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related trade experience operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• High School Diploma or GED; apprentice/trade school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations and maintenance of MEP systems.
• Supervise maintenance staff when applicable and monitor activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance: filters, lamps, bearings, belts, and inspections.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and technicians; maintain inventory.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure safety procedures are followed.
