Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking a Foreperson – General Building Maintenance in the Lubbock area. This on-site leadership role oversees district facilities maintenance, coordinates skilled staff and contractors, and ensures safe, cost-effective repairs across multiple buildings.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred Associate's degree in building construction and experience in maintenance.

Qualifications

• Accredited High School diploma, GED, or Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency required.
• Associate's degree from accredited college or university in building construction preferred.
• Experience with building construction; Experience with custodial or building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assess facilities for needed repairs and assign work.
• Assigns and oversees work to maintenance personnel/contractors.
• Initiates construction/repair contracts when needed.
• Schedule and complete construction repairs.
• Instructs and trains staff in equipment operation and safety.
• Inspects maintenance equipment and projects for quality.
• Maintains equipment life-cycle costs and inventory.
• Participates in department budget and payroll records.
