Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking a Director II Maintenance to lead and manage district maintenance operations and ensure district facilities are safe, functional, and well maintained for continuous student learning.

The role requires strong leadership, budget management, knowledge of construction and facility operations, and the ability to read blueprints. You will develop procedures, plan investments, supervise staff, and coordinate with other departments to meet district goals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic principles of construction and school plant maintenance.
• Ability to manage budget and personnel.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to use software to access databases and email.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages assigned maintenance and area operations.
• Develops and maintains procedures for maintenance, repair, and operations.
• Plans and directs inventory and stock control for equipment and supplies.
• Initiates purchase orders and bids within budget and district policies.
• Participates in district disaster planning and emergency response.
