Qualifications

  • Accredited High School diploma, GED, or Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency required.
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university preferred.
  • Clear and valid Texas Driver's License required.
  • Insurable by the District's insurance carrier required.
  • Experience: 7-10 years' experience in maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages assigned maintenance and area operations.
  • Prepares plans for contracted repair work and site improvements.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.
  • Develops and administers budget based on documented needs; manages funds wisely.
  • Plans and directs inventory and stock control for equipment and supplies.
  • Recommends disposal of obsolete equipment and purchases replacements.
  • Initiates purchase orders and bids in line with budget and policies.
  • Participates in development of the district's disaster plan and emergencies as needed.
