Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is hiring a Building Engineer 2 in Costa Mesa, CA. You will operate, maintain, and repair critical facility systems, with focus on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.

You’ll diagnose issues, use BAS for monitoring, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The role requires a High School diploma or GED with trade schooling, a Universal CFC, and 3+ years in similar maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with two years of trade school focused on electrical, refrigeration, or HVAC.
• Universal CFC Technician Certification.
• Minimum 3 years in commercial/industrial maintenance with HVAC/plumbing/electrical experience.
• 2 years using CMMS, preventive maintenance software, and BAS.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose equipment issues using BAS, schematics, and readings; perform preventive maintenance.
• Maintain records in CMMS and respond to emergency maintenance requests.
