Job summary

The Supervisor, Biomedical Equipment Technician at Endeavor Health provides day-to-day leadership of Biomedical Equipment Technicians at Highland Park Hospital, guiding performance and resource allocation to ensure safe, timely clinical engineering services.

You will partner with the CE Operations Manager to plan maintenance, coordinate vendors, and mentor staff, while performing advanced troubleshooting, installation, and repair of complex medical devices across our network.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in biomedical or electronics technology (or equivalent military training).
• Valid driver's license.
• Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) – Preferred.
• Typically 5 years of experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and design of biomedical equipment or comparable devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of Biomedical Equipment Technicians, including work direction, coaching, performance feedback, development, training, and accountability.
• Plan and allocate team resources with the CE Operations Manager on hiring, performance reviews, and other employee matters.
• Manage planned maintenance schedules and assign work orders based on workload and service needs.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices; install and test new devices.
• Ensure work complies with manufacturer guidelines, codes, and organizational policies; monitor quality and safety.
• Coach and mentor technicians and student interns; lead safety and customer-service rounding.
