Job summary

The Supervisor, Biomedical Equipment Technician at Endeavor Health provides day-to-day leadership and supervision of Biomedical Equipment Technicians, ensuring team performance, work allocation, staff development, and delivery of safe, high-quality Clinical Engineering services.

The Supervisor partners with the CE Operations Manager to plan and allocate team member and vendor resources, achieve maintenance and customer-service goals, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree in biomedical or electronics technology (or equivalent military training).
• Licensure: Valid driver's license.
• Certification: CBET - Preferred.
• Experience: Typically 5 years in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and design of biomedical equipment or comparable devices.
• Knowledge: OEM training on advanced devices such as ventilators, monitoring systems, or surgical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of Biomedical Equipment Technicians, including coaching and accountability.
• Plan maintenance schedules and assign work orders based on workload and priorities; coordinate vendor resources.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair non-imaging diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices; install and test new devices.
• Ensure work is completed per manufacturer guidelines, codes, regulatory requirements, and policies; monitor compliance.
• Partner with the CE Operations Manager on safety and customer-service rounding; participate in meetings and safety activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians and interns; identify training needs for growth.
• Support refurbishment, relocation, and equipment-modification projects and suggest process improvements.
