Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation, a leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, is hiring a Field Engineer to be the primary technical owner for turn-key project delivery in building automation. You will oversee install, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DDC systems, delivering full software solutions and reliable outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of professional experience in Building Automation or HVAC.
• Must have a valid, current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as squatting and climbing for extended periods.
• Capable of working over 8 feet above grade and proficient with ladders and motorized lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Turn-Key Delivery: Own the install, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DDC systems; deliver full software solutions including sequencing, graphics, and alarms.
• Technical Leadership: Act as the lead resource and mentor for junior techs; mentor customers to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Risk & Coordination: Partner with Project Managers to manage risk and align execution; ensure clear communication and reliable delivery.
• Travel & Flexibility: Travel as needed and stay adaptable to shifting priorities and field workloads.
• Proficiency & Growth: Demonstrate deep proficiency with ALC products and ASHRAE guidelines across complex environments.
• Project Integrity: Maintain expert-level documentation, including commissioning logs and progress tracking.
