Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation, via Automated Logic, is seeking a Field Engineer to deliver durable building automation solutions, troubleshoot complex projects, and own end-to-end delivery. The role requires hands-on system know-how, willingness to travel, and proactive problem solving.

You will work with HVAC, building automation, IP networking, and PLCs, deploying DDC systems, training owners, and collaborates with Project Managers to drive project success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of professional experience in HVAC, Building Automation, IT, or Industrial Networking, including IP networking, Modbus protocols, or PLC programming.
• Must possess a valid, current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as squatting and climbing for extended periods.
• Capable of working over 8 feet above grade and proficient in the use of ladders and motorized lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• System Performance: Install, commission, and optimize advanced DDC systems, ensuring controls, sensors, and networks meet performance standards.
• Proactive Problem Solving: Use technical judgment to solve automation challenges and mitigate project risks before they impact timelines.
• Technical Leadership: Train owners on system operation and partner with Project Managers to manage risks and improve execution.
• Travel & Growth: Travel as needed and adapt to changing schedules while taking end-to-end ownership of complex projects.
• Project Integrity: Maintain accurate documentation and participate in project reviews to drive continuous improvement.
