Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Lead Field Engineer in the United States to own turn-key project delivery for building automation. You will lead the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DDC systems while mentoring field staff and serving as a trusted advisor to customers.

This role requires 75% domestic travel, strong proficiency with ALC products and ASHRAE standards, and the ability to solve high-stakes automation challenges across diverse environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Building Automation or HVAC and related fields.
• Ability to travel up to 75% domestically and live within 75 miles of a major airport.
• Lead and mentor field teams to deliver turnkey building automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Turn-Key Delivery: own install, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DDC systems, delivering full software solutions.
• Technical Leadership: mentor junior techs and act as a trusted advisor to customers for high-quality outcomes.
• Risk & Coordination: coordinate with Project Managers to manage risk and ensure clear communication and reliable delivery.
• Travel & Flexibility: travel as needed and adapt to shifting priorities and workloads.
• Proficiency and Growth: apply expertise with ALC products, system architectures, and ASHRAE guidelines.
• Project Integrity: maintain expert documentation, including commissioning logs and progress tracking.
• This position requires 75% domestic travel and living within 75 miles of a major airport.
