Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Lead Field Engineer in New Jersey to own turnkey project delivery for sophisticated building automation systems. You will lead technical efforts, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with project teams to ensure safe, high-performance outcomes.

The role requires 75% domestic travel, strong diagnostic skills, and deep proficiency with ALC products and ASHRAE guidelines. Travel flexibility and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Building Automation or HVAC.
• 75% domestic travel, live within 75 miles of a major airport.
• Must possess a valid, current Driver’s License and be insurable.
• Ability to lift items up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Able to work over 8 feet above grade and use ladders/motorized lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Turn-Key Delivery: Own install, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DDC systems, delivering full software solutions.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor junior techs and advise customers for high-quality outcomes.
• Risk & Coordination: Partner with Project Managers to manage risk and ensure reliable delivery.
• Travel & Flexibility: Travel as needed and adapt to changing project priorities.
• Proficiency & Growth: Demonstrate deep proficiency with ALC products and ASHRAE guidelines.
• Project Integrity: Maintain expert-level documentation including commissioning logs and progress tracking.
