Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Sector in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Systems Integration & Avionics Engineer to support maintenance, integration, inspection and troubleshooting of avionics, sensors, and control systems on UAS and missile platforms.

The role involves hands-on design, integration, testing, and production transition efforts within a multi-disciplinary rapid prototype team, with opportunities for field support, training, and deployment as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years avionics/instrumentation maintenance and integration.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and installation drawings.
• US Citizenship and eligible for Secret Clearance; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate new solutions within a prototype design team.
• Integrate avionics and control systems into UAS; install, wire, align, document.
• Perform maintenance and calibration of avionics/instrument systems.
• Troubleshoot with manuals and test equipment.
• Support transition from prototype to production and field sustainment.
• Lead on-the-job training for junior engineers.
