Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack LLC is seeking a Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, lead a shop team, and deliver superior service by educating customers on problems and proposed solutions. The role requires a strong background in automotive diagnosis and repair, plus leadership abilities to mentor others.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex vehicle issues, explaining repairs to customers, and maintaining shop organization while complying with safety policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• Ability to explain technical issues to customers clearly.
• Must have valid driver's license and pass pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications including brake, hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, suspension and alignment, and air conditioning systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers or employees.
• Mentor and assist fellow technicians, maintain an organized shop and adhere to safety rules.
