Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking an experienced Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and to lead a team toward outstanding customer care. You will interact with customers, educate them on problems and proposed solutions, and mentor other technicians in a fast-paced shop environment.

The role requires 3+ years of automotive experience, ASE certifications, and a proactive, customer-focused attitude. Schedule includes days, nights, weekends as needed, with competitive pay and full benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5 plus 2 from A1, A6, A7, A8, L1).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brakes, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems to specification.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers as needed.
• Lead and mentor shop team to improve customer care and satisfaction.
• Continuously learn new automotive techniques through formal training.
