Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack of California is looking for a skilled Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while mentoring a team to improve customer care. You will interact with customers and present repair options to drive satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4 plus A5, and two of A1/A6/A7/A8/L1).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Must have valid driver's license and pass background check.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across multiple systems.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers clearly.
• Mentor and lead technicians to improve customer service.
• Stay current with automotive technology through training.
• Maintain an organized, safe shop and adhere to policies.

Skills

High School Diploma or GED

3+ years automotive diagnostics

ASE certifications (A4/A5 cross-list)

Section 609 certification
