Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a skilled Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, while guiding a team to improve customer care. You will interact with customers and explain needed repairs to vehicles, delivering superior service.

This role requires significant automotive repair experience, ASE certifications, and flexibility to work various shifts. A strong emphasis on safety and teamwork is central to success at Pep Boys.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of automotive diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5 etc) plus 2 from listed areas.
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license and background check completed.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, electrical, suspension, A/C, and engine systems.
• Perform duties of lower-level technicians as needed.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers clearly.
• Continuously learn new automotive techniques in training.
• Assist fellow technicians and keep management aware of problems.
• Maintain organized, clean shop and follow safety rules.
