Job summary
H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer for its southwest Atlanta metropolitan area facility.
The role focuses on troubleshooting, programming, and integrating equipment and automation systems to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime in an Allen Bradley PLC environment. The ideal candidate will lead projects, coordinate with multiple departments, and deliver FATs and technical documentation while maintaining compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related work experience.
- Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider at least 2 years.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical and control systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and diverse control architectures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain relationships with Maintenance, Toolroom, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Team, and Production to support operations.
- Troubleshoot electrical on production equipment from 24V to 480V; diagnose faults and implement corrective actions.
- Support projects with controls engineering: spec components, design circuits, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning, troubleshooting.
- Lead projects coordinating activities, timelines, and requirements with internal/external stakeholders.
- Prepare technical reports and FATs; document changes, root cause analyses, energy and process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with OHSA and internal EHS safety standards.
